Gary King Join Pilgrims On Loan

King broke into the first team last season, and managed his only Imps goal in a home win over Brentford, albeit with a little help from calamity keeper Simon Brown. This season Imps fans expected him to be pushing on for a starting place, and he was named in the line up for the opening day defeat at Rotherham.

However recently Peter Jackson said he expected more from King and fellow youngster Martin Pembleton. King found himself overlooked in favour of Sam Mullarkey in recent weeks, and the arrivals of Geoff Horsfield and Anthony Elding have left him further down the pecking order.

Boston boss Steve Welsh is excited about getting the Mablethorpe born youngster on board, admitting his finishing, pace and power could be a factor in helping turn around The Pilgrims fading fortunes.
