Fa To Look At Jacko Appeal

Jackson was sent to the stands by the fourth official in the second half of the game at Sincil Bank, following a string of bizarre decisions by the apparently inept referee Chris Sarginson.

Jacko told local radio "I just think they (referees) want to make their mark. I can't believe I've been sent off for standing in the technical area and waving my hands. What next - Will I have to stop talking?"

Sarginson had already spoken to Jacko once about his 'behaviour', before being beckoned over a second time by the fourth official. Sarginson then asked Jacko to move into The St Andrews Stand to watch the rest of the game away from the dugout.

Sarginson had been ineffective and incompetent for a majority of the game. At one side both sets of fans sung 'you don't know what you doing' at him. He awarded throw ins wrong time and time again and turned down five penalty shouts from Imps fans, although probably only two of them were worthy shouts.

The FA says it has received the match referee's report on the match, but are yet to decide what action will be taken against Jackson. It hasn't been revealed as yet how many mistakes Chris Sarginson made on his report, but rumours of two errors in the 'name' section have been refuted.
