Ellison to see campaign out with Imps

Stockport County utility man Kevin Ellison has extended his loan spell with the Imps and is all ready to help fire his new team mates inot Division Two.

Ellison has played in every game since his move from Edgeley Park, picking up a shabby 4 bookings in 6 appearances. However he is playing in an unfamiliar left wing back role and his no nonsense displays have endeared him to the City faithful.

His left peg in particular has reduced Paul Mayo to nothing more than a distant memory as corners and free kicks have been whipped in with real venom. Indeed it was Ellison who turned provider for Simon Yeo's last gasp equaliser against in form Northampton Town on Monday.

Ellisons extension will further boost the Imps who already have a plethora of players itching to make a start in the final few games. As well as Ellison theres Kevin Sandwith, Craig Rocastle, and Aron Wilford desperate to play a part as well as Richard Butcher returning from injury and Simon Weaver looking to oust Jamie McCombe from the centre back slot. It seems there is as much competition for places within the City side as there is in the play off berth!
