Come on Imps Make Tonight The Night

Last updated : 25 January 2011 By Neil Hobbs

Saturday's opponents Port Vale could do the Imps a massive favour this evening  with a home win over Barnet. Jim Gannon’s side will creep back into the top 3 if Stevenage do them a favour with a win over the Millers. Hereford, our immediate rivals are at home to Morecambe, but will have to beat them without the help of Manset and Lenny Lawrence who have both flown the nest. The Frenchman's transfer could be worth as much at half a million pounds but his missing goals could prove far more costly.

Macclesfield play Southend tonight after a hugely emotional draw against Barnet on Saturday. Macc have the games in hand but they need the points fast if they are not to be dragged back into things.

The Imps play Cheltenham, victors over Port Vale on  Saturday, with our tails up after a rousing win at Stockport on Saturday. The Robins are facing 3 home defeats on the spin tonight and a win for the Imps could see us leapfrog Stockport who do not play and Hereford or Barnet should neither of them win. For all the talk of our defence our goal difference would be sufficient to overtake both of them.

Tonight’s the night Imps as many of us huddle around our radios listening to BBC Radio Lincolnshire that the Imps could creep out of the relegation places.
