Clark Leaves Club

Simon Clark has today left Lincoln City by ‘mutual consent’ in the wake of Chris Suttons arrival as manager.

Clark appeared on the scene last season as Peter Jacksons coach, and found himself as caretaker manager once Jacko had been sacked.

A 3-0 win in his first game seemed to make him a shoe in for the managers job, but four straight defeats left him out of favour with the board. However director Bob Dorrian hinted that Clark might stay at the club even if his application was unsuccessful.

Today though it appears Chris Sutton has indicated he wants his own team to oversee the clubs revival, and that spelled the end for Clark.
