City's hopes of Forrester appeal quashed

The Imps' striker, who has fired in an impressive 16 goals in 30 appearances so far this campaign was involved in an off the ball incident with Notts County defender Austin McCann in City's 3-1 defeat on Saturday.

Match official, Uriah Rennie subsequently brandished a straight red card, meaning that City's top goal scorer will miss his team's next three games.

The void, left by Forrester will leave a great opportunity for new signing Dany N'Guessan to make his mark on the first team.

The young Frenchman – who signed from Scottish giants, Glasgow Rangers in the January transfer window – looked a potent threat when he appeared in the second half against The Magpies on Saturday.
