Chris Sutton is keen to extend Aston Villa defender Nathan Baker's stay at Sincil Bank.
Baker, 18, has made nine appearances since joining on loan in October. He joined with Eric Lichaj who has since returned to Villa.
The current loan expires on 22nd January, when it reaches the maximum 93 days permitted by the Football League.
Sutton told local media "He's one we want to keep and I hope we can hang on to him for the rest of the season."
The loan can be converted to a season long loan after 93 days if both club agree.
