Banned Lichaj Wanted For Longer

Imps gaffer Chris Sutton is keen on extending the loan of American star Eric Lichaj despite the player spending more time banned at the club than available.

Lichaj's one-month deal is set to expire just before he returns from the three-match ban he is currently serving, after a kung fu kick in the defeat at Morecombe..

However Sutton told local media:  "I think he was excellent in the two games which he played. We've got to speak to Aston Villa but I'd love it if he did extend his loan."

If Lichaj's loan was extended it would mean he'd join Rene Howe, Sergio Torres, Adam Watts, Anthony Pulis, and Joe Heath as our loanees.

So far only Nathan Baker looks like returning to his parent  club at the end of his loan spell this month, with Joe Heath and Rene Howe set to go back to Forest and Peterborough respectively in January.
