The Form Of The Foe Gillingham FC

Last updated : 21 May 2011 By Neil Hobbs

Gillingham have not been beaten for over two months,  a run of 14 games stretching back to a 0-2 defeat to Chesterfield, the league leaders,  on January 25th. Were it not for 9 draws they would be higher than 8th you feel. Good job too and a point will do us just nicely as we toddle to 50 points and safety with this, Cheltenham and Aldershot all Sincil home bankers one and all we hope.  Makes you want to shoot out and pay for a season ticket in full to help the cause this very Saturday doesn’t it Imps?

In all seriousness the Gills will certainly cause us problems this Sincil Super Saturday as they possess quality all over the park.  League 2's third most prolific striker, 22-goal leading marksman Cody McDonald needs to be watched too having been short listed for the March League Two Player of the Month award, a prize he also won in January. As will - eh oh time for Tubby custard - Adebayo Akinfenwa, for his true, he’s fat and round but he can certainly score at our ground. Mind you most goal scorers fancy their chances of getting back into the groove at Sincil Bank.

Without further ado a look at the Gills facts, stats, highs lows, Heroes and Villains.
