The Form Of The Foe - Aldershot

Last updated : 21 May 2011 By Neil Hobbs

Aldershot’s form over the last 5 games suggests the Imps will get at least the draw, but it is the win we need, to guarantee our survival, should Barnet win.  Clearly Dean Holdsworth is up for doing his Wimbledon buddy Sanchez a favour.

After winning 4 and drawing 4 in an unbeaten previous 8 the wheels have come off Dean Holdsworth’s cart so to speak. With just one win, 3 draws and 2 losses in their last 6 against lowly opposition they have finished in mid table after flirting with the playoffs.

That is not to say we should take them lightly, our own form is hardly the best after all.  Aldershot are a danger all over the pitch with Luke Guttridge, Anthony Charles, Peter Vincenti as high in the scoring charts as  Hylton and Small who does not play today. Jermaine McGlashan and John Halls are a tough midfield central combo with  McGlashan setting up just as many as the two live wire widemen Vincenti & Gutteridge.

Indeed the Shots 4-4-2 formation owes much to the competitive Wimbledon spirit with everyone pitching in.  An impressive 76 yellows but just the 4 reds shows they are up for the Battle of the Bank today. Without further ado her we go, this weeks statistical,,,,,,
