Form Of The Foe Oxford United

Last updated : 21 May 2011 By Neil Hobbs

Oxford have drawn their last four games, with 17 goal James Constable netting a brace in Saturdays fight back to 2-2 at Barnet. They managed a nil nil at home to Chesterfield last Friday and prior to that a creditable 0-0 at high flying Accrington. The week before saw a 2-2 home derby draw against Wycombe in front of over 9,000 with winger Alfie Potter making one and scoring one. Not too bad for a side who are spending their first season back in the Football League after going down in May 2006 after 44 years in the league.

Alas a point for the Imps, though creditable, might not be a wise ploy weekend against a side smarting from a recent 1-3 defeat at Sincil Bank.  thanks to two farcical own goals. Let us hope we have not used up all our good luck in one go given Oxford have Constable, Craddock and Potter as the spearhead of a 4-3-3 to hurt us.  Although Chris Wilder did have defensive woes, Worley is now back after a two match ban and looks favourite to replace Hanson (7 stitches) who had replaced Sangare (broken metatarsal, which rules him out for the rest of the season).

To cut to the chase our weekly look at the form of the foe.
