Imps V Oxford The teams & Schemes

Last updated : 01 March 2011 By Neil Hobbs

Oxford United come to Sincil Bank tonight full of confidence,  despite a 0-2 home defeat to Hereford United on Saturday. Chris Wilder looks set to name an unchanged side  with the U’s sights set on a top seven playoff birth if they beat us.  He also has striker Alfie Potter, winger Simon Hackney and midfielders Josh Payne and Jack Midson waiting in the wings.

The Imps meanwhile look set to play Mustapha Carayol out wide with Howells moving into the centre at the expense of either Fuseini or O’Keefe. Should we win tonight we will be just 6 points behind Oxford with two games in hand.

Recent respective form guides

Lincoln City's home form is poor, winning just 2 of the last six, and losing the other 4. While The Red Imps have scored 8, a worringly large 13 have been leaked at the other end.

Oxford Utd.'s away form is none too clever either, with two wins, two draws, and two defeats. The U's's have a narrow positive goal difference over these games, with 7 goals for and 5 against.

Lincoln City find themselves struggling down in 16th position in the league having picked up 38 points from their 31 matches. Oxford Utd. lie just outside the playoff positions in the Npower League Two, picking up 47 from their 33 games so far.

FootyMad's prediction ...

Neil: Always have to be optimistic 1-0 to the Mighty Imps

Vic - Craddock and Constable will be too strong for Watts and Hone  best we can hope for is that we have a couple of goals in us because they will get at least two tonight.  Away Win.

Ivan Impgrass  A 2-2 Draw tonight
