Imps V Bulls FA Dreams Teams & Schemes

Last updated : 08 January 2011 By Neil Hobbs

At last the second round replay between the Imps and Hereford has come to pass, albeit on third round Saturday. Four wins on the bounce Wycombe await the winners, with a fourth round glamour tie at stake, so look out for Ball 17 on Sunday. Have faith Imps this one is ours, mercurial mascot Poacher can feel it in his horns.

The Imps Go 4-4-2

GK Anyan
RB Green – CB Hoyte – CB Swaibu - LB Anderson
RW Jarrett – CM Kerr – CM Howell - LW Carayol
FC Hutchinson - FC Grimes

The Bulls Go 3-4-1-2

GK Bartlet
DR Kovacs – DC Townsend  - DL Rose
RM Green – CM Featherstone – CM Mcquiilkin – LM Purdie
AMC Lunt
FC Fleetwood – FC Manset

Much has been made of the strike partnership of fleet of foot Fleetwood and the formidable Frenchman Mathieu Manset, yet Lunt could be the one to drive through the centre. Cruncher Kerr and Howell best be on their guard then, whilst Moses and in-at-the-deep-end Hoyte, attempt to deal with  2 in two Stewie and the battering ram  fleur-de-lis.

The Imps Captain loves the FA Cup as last years assists record will testify – feed the wing wizards Scotty and we could yet begin a cup run me thinks. After all Carayol and Jarrett will have little pace to beat should they get past Green and Purdie.

Whilst Hereford have a settled side, the Imps for all their defensive woes, have a forward foursome that can yet make this a season to enjoy. So rise up Impdom for fortune favours the brave and attack you feel is clearly the best form of defence. Let us all do our bit to roar on the Imps this glorious day  for it is not only those behind the goal that can suck Grimes winner into the net.  Oh contraire, but then nothing and I mean nothing, can beat the site of the Imps in full flow attacking the Stacey West.
