£180K Youth Cull Puts Future Frecks in doubt

Last updated : 22 May 2011 By Neil Hobbs

We all purr over Peterborough star, Lee Frecklington, Watford keeper Loach and the Hobbs deal to Liverpool. Well that is under serious threat from this summer.

The Lincoln City Youth set up will see a cut of £180,000 per season starting from next season. Year 1 will see us retain £91,000 in payments but year two will see zero from the Football League grass roots initiative.

Although Chris Travers and the youth board had managed to build a youth set up with an annual budget in excess of £250,000, savage cuts are inevitable even if the sponsors stay loyal.
